Are you ready for a new experience?
Personally, I think we are all ready for something a bit different.
The world is not changing. IT HAS CHANGED.
Technology has evolved. (AI is an obvious example.)
Now it's time WE evolve as users of technology.
(Yeah, this is where I can start to sound "preachy", it's not intentional and is only my attempt to help guide your attention to something new.)
If we continue to experience technology in the same way we do now...
We WILL CONTINUE to create more stress for ourselves and others.
How do I know?
Do you really enjoy the experience that social media offers you?
What about the experience you know it's offering the rest of us?
Do you enjoy the experience of your phone as it gives constant FOMO of messages and notifications?
How do you think the rest of our experience our phones?
Have you ever thought that you and your data are the product? (I have.)
Software (like social media) and hardware (like phones) are incredibly technology.
You probably remember not so long ago when you experienced them both as the unlimited potential for connection, growth, and expansion.
Back then you didn't wonder if you and your data were the product.
Back then you probably didn't feel manipulated and constantly on-guard 24/7 for threats/FOMO.
That wasn't because they didn't design it to manipulate. It's because we didn't know how to use it to manipulate ourselves.
Technology isn't the problem. It's how we operate technology that is the problem.
There IS another way...
A way to experience technology again as a force to connect us (which is all it ever is).
How to do this is so obviously simple that it blends into the background of your life and if often missed until it is pointed out enough times you begin to look for it.
That is what the "This Is Your Mind On AI" experience on YouTube is for.
We start with AI because it's the easiest technology to show you how to move from a "AI User" to an "AI Operator".
You probably think AI can be used to solve your problems. I thought that too.
It can't. It can only make you feel like you making progress.
(Hang in there, I know this is going deep... You've got this!)
The reason you can't get AI to give you the perfect email copy, or recipe, or help you get that creative idea, is because you do not already know the perfect email copy, recipe, or creative idea.
You can not solve a problem you do not know how to solve. This is especially true with a technology that allows you to automate your thinking (which is what AI actually does when operated usefully).
"But wait," you think, "AI gives me all sorts of ideas for the email copy, the recipe, and it even gives me ways to explore my ideas. Doesn't that mean it is solving my problem?"
Yep. I agree. I've been there and I've thought those same thoughts.
And that's the point.
You probably tried using an email you got from AI that didn't actually do anything more useful that any email you could have written on your own.
You probably did it FASTER with AI, but that doesn't mean you improved the QUALITY.
You may have produced an experience (for you) that leads to the email going out, but you missed the opportunity to have the VERY SAME EMAIL be an experience for the person receiving that email.
To do that you need to think very differently about email as a FUNCTION because that's how AI thinks about email.
This is why AI is such a powerful technology!
You're only human after all. (Don't feel bad, I'm in the same boat!)
When you properly OPERATE AI you can and WILL experience solutions (and you will barely notice there are problems because all you see is solutions).
You'll begin to craft emails that are experiences for your readers... Not an experience of having to deal with your email, but an experience where they actively desire your email because the experience is so useful.
You can do this without AI... Many do. But they are natural experts writing emails.
I'm not that guy. I could probably do it, but would have to learn and study and practice to get there... It would take me years.
But with AI it's an entirely different story.
You can quite literally use AI to craft any experience you want for yourself AND for others.
Because you can... I can.
I am.
I'm doing it very publicly over here so you can see it for yourself.
You are not reading these words unless there is something inside you that knows there is at least something worth giving your attention to.
Trust this...
It's your experience guiding you.
And if you're already thinking, "Ok... This whole 'experience stuff' isn't for me."
You're right...
(If that's you, you should consider deactivating your account because I'm going to drive you nuts with how I'm using AI to change the experience of how we all experience health, wealth, relationships, technology, and so much more.)
BTW...
If you just read that last part and started to lean in a little closer...
If that made you question and think about where this could be going...
That MAYBE...
Just maybe...
What I'm saying is possible with AI is actually possible AND the fact that I'm livestreaming to demonstrate it's not only possible but plausible and USEFUL...
Well...
If that's your jam it's time for you to participate.
You are the feedback loop we all need.
You've already read this far, and that means you are already participating this very moment.
Now it's time to continue participating...
"Like" a post (maybe this one?) if you haven't yet.
Leave a comment with your reactions, thoughts, feelings, or how you are experiencing things (here or any other post).
Post something new. Ask a question, share a resource your using, give an update others are likely to find useful as well.
If you want to experience something here, let us know.
If it's useful for everyone it'll happen.
Share this community and it's resources (like the TIYMOAI YouTube channel) with others...
You are already likely experiencing something new....
Continuing to experience new thoughts, new feelings, new concepts, new ideas as you participate.
Participation is the price we all pay to continue experiencing.
For me, my price of participation means writing this post... livestreaming TIYMOAI... hosting Meetups... being on podcasts... crafting courses/workshops/events (eventually!)... collaborating with you on projects you need help with (new section for that in the community now) and having conversations with anyone who is slightly interested in the experience offered.
(Plus all of that also happens to be a heck of a lot of fun from my perspective!)
Normally this is the time where I copy and paste this whole thing and give to AI to properly format it, etc...
But it felt more useful to leave this one in it's more raw, stream of thoughts, form...
How was the experience of this post for you?
very good :)
