Feeling behind with AI? Start with one job you already do

You do not need to be good at AI to get something useful from it this week. You need one job you already know how to do.

What feeling behind can look like

  • You asked a chatbot something once, the answer was wrong, and you never went back.
  • Everyone online seems ahead, and you are not sure where step one is.
  • You open the chat window and sit there, because you do not know what to ask.

None of these mean you are late. Often they mean the AI knows nothing about your work yet.

One thing to try today

Pick one job you do every week, like answering a customer question. Type how you do it in three or four plain sentences into any free AI chat, such as ChatGPT or Gemini, with this line under it:

This is how I do this job every week. Ask me three questions about it, one at a time, before you suggest anything.

Answer its questions, then see whether the help feels different.

Saturday 17 October: the free class

The subject is You are not in the wrong place on the map. It looks at where you keep what you know about your work today, and one next step from there.

It is live on YouTube, with no account needed. The time and the link are on the class page.

For kit owners: Office Hours is on Tuesday 13 October, in your private group.
