Free class Saturday: three lines change the answer

You ask an AI to do something big in one go, and it hands back a pile of jobs to do yourself, none of them finished.

The AI was not the problem.

Your request was.

Saturday School, 19 September

Free and live. Watch the class here — the page shows the start time in your own time zone.

What you will watch happen

  1. Chris Mercer, who runs this class, types one giant request on screen and runs it. The answer covers everything and finishes nothing.
  2. He says out loud why it failed. Nothing in the request told the AI what to do first.
  3. He writes three lines, then asks again: the one idea, who it is for, and the one rule the answer may not break. Then he reads out what comes back.

Three lines. That is the whole change.

The AI did not get smarter between the first answer and the second. The three lines above are the ones he writes, and you can put them in your next request without watching anything.

Bring one thing: a request that did not work for you this week. You will rewrite it in three lines while he rewrites his.

  • Free, and about an hour.
  • Nothing to install, and watching needs no account.
  • The replay goes up afterwards in the community.
